It's ambiguous. Could be both. Hard to tell without knowing the whole thing. I suspect this is a song and if so, then I take it back coz I wouldn't dare translate songs. Waste of time.

I did not google it but I tend to think it is not "в воспоминаниях о ночи" but more like "в воспоминаниях ночи". I don' t know how to explain, I just somehow 'feel' it.
