it doesn’t make any sense
Turns out when Claire had mentioned Douxie opening for Papa Skull this was the concert he had done it and he wasn’t willing to give up that opportunity for his music

I wonder what makes people keep on translating something that doesn’t make sense?
This is some kind of fan fiction that he’s been reading for weeks. It reads like it was written by a third-grader who’s still learning English 😢
Uly, any book recommendation(s) for a 15 year old girl? (she's native)
What does she like to read? Is it your daughter?
Yes, it's my daughter. She's read hundreds of books. Of coz she like Harry Potter, Twilights, The Land of Stories series, etc. Now she's growing and I thought she could read something more serious but still suitable for teens. A book that has good language.
All the above was before she turned 15. Now she is reading stuff like a murder mystery, she likes that detective/investigation thing.
If she likes that genre, she should read Agatha Christie, the Nancy Drew series, and the Hardy Boys series. Also, I’m not a gamer, but I REALLY enjoyed Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. It’s written for young adults, but I loved it. Then it was made into a movie, which was a real treat after reading the book)))
Detective stories have never been something serious.)
Serious - Polinka Saks by Aleksandr Druzhinin. It's Romantic Russian prose.
Or An American Tragedy by Theodore Dreiser and so on.
Thanks. She's read Nancy Drew series but not Hardy Boys. Will ask her to read. As for the "Ready Player One" movie, one of my friends has already recommended it to me but I never found time to watch it. Now, when you also said it's good, I gotta watch it ))
Zoya, people read what they enjoy reading. If you give ME those two books you mentioned, give me a knife too, so I can slash my wrists.
Russ, yes, the movie’s really good, but the book is better — have her read the book before seeing the movie.
Uly, did you read them already?
And the An American Tragedy is so interesting!)
And a plot of Polinka Saks is very unexpected! Despite that it happened in19th century))
No, I don’t read romances))
Невозможно оторваться - you can’t put it down
And I was reading this novel about at the same age.
I think is the jеm of world literature.
Of course I dream to read it in the original language))
