Andriolli, возможно, перевод будет разный в зависимости от контекста. Это в смысле «Я слышал звонок. Вам, кажется, кто-то звонил?» или «Вам звонил тот, кто должен был позвонить?» Но это неточно😅

Thanks . мне нужен второй вариант
1 I heard a phone call. It seems someone called you.
2 You were called? (?)

Did anybody call you?

HAS ANYBODY CALLED YOU? is used if you have a loved one in the hospital following an accident, for example, and are waiting for an update on their condition or if you applied for a job and are waiting to hear back on whether you got the job. In other words, if you’re waiting anxiously to hear from someone, anyone, on an important matter.

DID ANYBODY CALL YOU? is used if show up somewhere early because nobody told you the event had been changed to a later time, and the speaker is wondering if someone bothered to call you and tell you about it like they were supposed to.

DID THEY CALL YOU? is used if a specific group was supposed to call you at a set time or on a set date, and that time has passed. It’s also used to confirm that they contacted you by phone specifically and not by some other means like email or text.

HAVE THEY CALLED YOU? Is used if you’re expecting to hear from a particular group, and the deadline for them calling you hasn’t passed.

You got it 👍🏼🤩

Uly, it looks like you posted the translation for the former, but Andriolli wanted to have a translation for the latter:
Thanks . мне нужен второй вариант
1 I heard a phone call. It seems someone called you.
2 You were called? (?)
Am I making sense?🧐

You are correct! but (1) was so unnatural that I had to include it in my translation 😜

Tatiana Gerasimenkoadded a comment a month ago

A wise decision! Since this can mean two different things, we need to know both🤩👌

To be clear, I’m referring to “I heard a phone call. It seems someone called you.“ That’s unnatural, and I felt it needed to be corrected.
