Results: Two studies showed benefit for an electromechanical gait trainer, with significantly more patients resuming walking as compared to conventional physiotherapy.

If contracture of the adductor musculature is also present, treatment with botulinum toxin, combined with intensive physiotherapy, may increase the range of motion in abduction and thereby improve containment.

Liegt zusätzlich eine kontrakte Adduktorenmuskulatur vor, kann durch eine Therapie mit Botulinumtoxin in Verbindung mit intensiver Physiotherapie die Abspreizfähigkeit und damit das Containment verbessert werden.
