In any action under this section it shall be a good defence that the act complained of was not done maliciously and without reasonable and probable cause, and the onus of proving the same shall rest with the magistrate.

No application to reverse or vary the decision of the trustee in rejecting a proof shall be entertained after the expiration of 21 days from the date of the decision complained of.
