Even if IMDB does clean up their https://www.imdb.com/user/ur157215009/ voting system and make their site more reliable, they still have the issue of extreme inflation. Back in the day when movies were less popular, a rating of 8 or 9 was common on IMDB. But nowadays people are voting for movies that are in the top 10% of all movies released in a given year.
