to see the point of + noun
to see the point of + Ving
(если после идет глагол - обязательно +ing)

to see any point in + noun
to see any point in + Ving
(если после идет глагол - обязательно +ing)

P.S. - not any = no
I see no point in starting this conversation.

Оборот
There is + Ving - предлог не нужен:
There isn't any/is no point starting this conversation.
