Думаю, что для «бытового уровня» тоже подойдёт, если контекст соответствующий.

Things you do, use, apply, perceive etc. "на бытовом уровне", you do, use, apply, perceive etc.not at work, not in business, service, science etc.

"This equipment is great and cost-effective for professional use in a factory shop, but it's too bulky and expensive to make a book shelf for your home. There's no reason to use it НА БЫТОВОМ УРОВНЕ."
" Jim is smart and practical НА БЫТОВОМ УРОВНЕ, but he's no artist at all - I can't stand seeing his paintings."

..however, in examples above, I would use “В БЫТУ” rather than “на бытовом уровне”. Perhaps, there IS a small difference in usage, but the general meaning is the same.

I would use IN DAY-TO-DAY LIFE in the first example, and AS A PERSON IN GENERAL in the second.
