This is a little confusing to me because when you HOPE, you’re not sure if you’re going to see her, and I can’t imagine improvement coming from something so tenuous. However, if he KNOWS he’s going to be seeing her, and as a result, his well-being starts to improve, then that’s more correctly the result of the PROSPECT of seeing her again.
