Евгений, I'm not saying your translation is correct because I don't really know what the Russian means. I'm just correcting your grammar. The thing is that "didn't go well" implies that you were injured or something bad happened to you as a result of joining the team. Is that what this means?

Не зашло - это значит не понравилось. Это сленг. Причина не в травме, просто парень(или мальчик, или мужчина) не заинтересовался ни командой, ни условиями, ни тренером. Он уже не в команде, скорее всего, он оценивает этот не совсем удачный момент.
