it was "three’s NONE" actually, that ngram did hear about. In the past it was more popular.

Grumbler, and in a lot of the examples that you posted, people are citing the second part of this expression and adding BUT as part of their discourse. Similarly, I could say ..., но правды, как говорится, в ногах нет. However, the integral form of the expression is в ногах правды нет. Similarly, the integral expression is “twos company, three’s a crowd“ and any alteration of this, is simply “poetic license.”
