Elena, don't waste your breath, it's a sign of the times. Nobody thinks about these translations anymore, they just copy the dictionary, any dictionary, and put all the definitions in one "translation." Al has already made it very clear that all he's interested in is getting hearts. Now you have to machete your way through all the one word posts (that are already defined in the dictionary) just to find anything interesting to translate, thanks in no small part to Al, Pavel and all the other copy-and-pasteniks on here. This site has the potential to be such an interesting language resource, but once again the operators don't give a fuck about the integrity of the content. If they did, at the very least they could detect posts that are already defined and not allow them to upload. Or detect duplicate posts, or common repetitions like "how are you?" Or "how do I get to the metro?"

So Al won't personalize any of his translations by supplying an example, or an explanation, nothing, but he will take the time to try to teach me that this post means that somebody changed beyond all fucking recognition in some context. Does he think I just fell out of a tree? Thank you, Al, for the English lesson. This isn't even a linguistic question, it's pure logic. So copy and paste that why don't you!
