...if we take just the right amount of alcohol(or pot,or coke,or some combination thereof)we may for a few minutes or hours, regain that lost state of oneness with nature....But the feeling never lasts long and the price isn't worth it. It is a form of what D.Bonhoeffer referred to as "cheap grace".
