Sometimes a group may seem to have returned to ‘storming’ when they would have been expected to be ‘performing’ happily – tutors may need to consider whether the constitution of the group has changed or some other challenge has altered group members’ perceptions and caused this apparent regression.

Being observant and noticing when this is likely to happen and when it is happening, will allow tutors to adjust their own tactics in response.
