Интересует, как максимально корректно в данном и подобных случаях переводится выражение "среди прочего" – inter alia, among others, или каким-то иным образом?

Honestly, I've never encountered this expression before. Even now, after doing a little bit of research, I would try to avoid using it, unless I wanted to make a specific impression on somebody.
In my humble opinion, you don't need "inter alia, among others " in your sentence construction. The use of verbs CAN BE, or MAY BE already implies that there are (there might be ) other options.
However, if you firmly state that "the word IS translated..", then it makes sense to use it.
