This Law is enacted for the purpose of ensuring food hygiene and preventing food contamination and harmful substances from causing injury to human health in order to safeguard the health of the people and improve their physical fitness.

为保证食品卫生，防止食品污染和有害因素对人体的危害，保障人民身体健康，增强人民体质，制定本法。
