Мысля - это шуточное «мысль». As in Умная мысля приходит опосля.))

Пролетела мысль (a though went through my mind¿crossed my mind¿/flashed in my mind¿) is actually the correct one. And мысля is only used jokingly.

In my case, мысль crossed my mind, and мысля went right over my head)))

And how would you paraphrase your use of «а ведь», is it something like “and actually...” (I know that particles express an attitude on the part of the speaker - in this case perhaps some frustration that something actually crossed your mind and you didn’t act on it, or, just “aha!, that actually occurred to me!”

Because a smart мыслЯ hits you later than it's needed - опосля)))
