Elena, why the present tense? This is about things the speaker has experience, perhaps more than once, in the past, not a general/personal code of morals.

You don’t know that she continues to behave like this. Someone may have accused her of being selfish and she pointed out all the things she’s experienced in the past that made her selfish now.

— "Агульная млявасць i абыякавасць да жыцця". Устойчивое и непереводимое выражение из белорусского языка, очень точно характеризующее одну из национальных черт белорусского характера. Очень приблизительно можно перевести как "общая вялость и безразличие к жизни". Проявляется в нежелании активно действовать, что-то делать, даже просто с кем-то долго общаться. В общем, этакая "обломовщина", особенно усиливающаяся в тёмные и холодные времена года.
