🇺🇸 Uly 🐝, я отдаю должное Вашему рвению и спасибо за сайт с диаграммой частоты употребимости английских терминов в литературе за период 1900-2000 и далее. Признаться, вижу впервые! Я несколько изменила Ваш же запрос и вот что у меня получилось: https://bit.ly/3yghuO7 Взгляните это прелюбопытно!

APPLY NAIL POLISH appears because this formulation is used in instructions, not in practical usage (somebody DID something). You’re teaching people to say “This morning, I got up early and applied nail polish.” Nobody talks like that. Girls say “I painted my nails.”

Similarly, nobody would say “I colored my nails with nail polish“ in the United States or in any other English-speaking country. In other words this isn’t multitran where you just throw down anything that comes into your head. On this site, we like to teach/learn idiomatic, usable, actual English/Russian. So far, I haven’t been impressed with anything you’ve translated into English. In fact one of your bad translations is still up despite your being told repeatedly that it’s incorrect. I would recommend that as a newcomer, you observe how things work here before you start contributing willy-nilly on every post. You can always propose translations in the comments and I’ll tell you whether it’s correct or incorrect. Otherwise, you should limit yourself to translating into your own native language. People are here to learn English, not read guesses.

And while I’m at it, less impressive is your attitude of teaching people English on here when you yourself are making mistakes left and right. Again, you should spread yourself a little thinner until you learn how things work around here. From what I’ve seen, you should be learning English, not teaching it.

In fact one of your bad translations is still up despite your being told repeatedly that it’s incorrect. What entry do you mean?

Точно!

ввод удален; инцидент исчерпан. Не понимаю, от чего такой сыр-бор разгорелся вокруг американской медицины. Это запретная зона для иностранцев? Как на плакате "не влезай убьет"?

Elena, as a new member please note a couple of things:
1. Everyone here is very meticulous when it comes to translations.
2. Uly is like a mentor/admin here who has authority and knowledge. So, he would review the majority of new posts to validate the translations. If it's incorrect (which happens often) he would point it out in the comments. And then this is your decision either to start arguing with him or learn from him. Pretty simple.
3. Remember - Everyone here is very sensitive. It's easy to start a fight (if you wish))). If you don't start the fight, there are some members who will. )) I already saw some tension in one of your posts.
4. You may wonder: Is there anything good here? Yes, I'm! (just kidding))) Actually, the good thing is that you can get quality help here from the only native speaker on this site for free and in a timely manner. You can also ask questions in the comments about anything that's not clear to you. You will get a comprehensive explanation from Uly.
