who you be

???
what you are going to be (?)

when you get old

= когда ты состаришься

Ayub mvpublicó un comentario 2 years ago

write your variant

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario 2 years ago

(1) If you use the perfect, you don’t have to use ALREADY;
(2) In English, we say WHAT you want to be (quite right, Grumbler!), and not WHO.

Ayub mvpublicó un comentario 2 years ago

Uly , we use what due to the occupation, profession?

Ayub mvpublicó un comentario 2 years ago

but in grammer it is said we use already, yet with present perfect

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario 2 years ago

And yes, we use WHAT with professions:

A: My mom’s a doctor.
B: And what’s your dad?
A: A lawyer.

Ayub mvpublicó un comentario 2 years ago

I see , thanks

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario 2 years ago

you got it

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario 2 years ago

Also, grammAr books don’t dictate how people speak, PEOPLE shape languages 😉

Ayub mvpublicó un comentario 2 years ago

I agree with you, but while taking tests it requires more accurate answers according to grammer.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario 2 years ago

Quite right! I forgot the kind of “English” they teach you over there.

grumblerpublicó un comentario 2 years ago
A вы ...

And you, have you... (?)

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario 2 years ago

*And have you… (But is it absolutely necessary? I think Russian puts that particle in front of a lot of questions where we wouldn’t necessarily use “and“)

grumblerpublicó un comentario 2 years ago

Not 'absolutely', but it does bring some some special shade to the question.
In this case "A" means that before asking this question, the speaker either asked the same question some other person or spoke about somebody else's plans.

Уточнение:
А ВЫ уже решили .....? - как я сказал выше.
А вы уже РЕШИЛИ....? (или еще не решили?)

Думаю, английское and подходит в обоих случаях
