Wow, so “open on page” is incorrect?? Not acceptable? This the way teachers always say at school here...

The correct way is “open your book TO page xxx”

I agree 100% with that comment. It sounds uneducated. Tatsiana, the best (and only, in my opinion) option is TO.

And a British person said:
"In BE, we would definately say "Open your books at page 10".

If he has experience with BE, he probably lives in GB or works closely with Brits. I’ve only ever heard British people say “open to.”
