Незакрытые дела? 🙄
Lord, I would’ve come sooner, but I had to tie up some loose ends back home.

That was the official translation provided on the school’s end - not mine. Deleted!
Russ, AT HOME is дома, BACK HOME refers to the city where you live.
To give you some context, this refers to a guy moving to another city for work and taking care of last-minutes things at home (=in his city) before he moves.
закончить кое-какие дела дома in Russian could be both - at home and back home.
For example:
я бы приехал во Флориду, в гости к Юлию раньше, но мне нужно было закончить кое-какие дела дома.
the above sounds fine in Russian because 'дома' here implies back home
Good to know! Thank you)))

Прежде, чем преподавать иностранный язык, им неплохо бы родной подучить. ((
Это точно!
