Евгений, (1) REALIZED would be the correct translation of понял; (2) MAIN STORYLINE needs an article; (3) QUITE A BIT is used with comparatives: The plot was quite a bit weirder than I imagined. (for example)

CONCLUDE and DECIDE mean the same thing. I didn’t use DECIDE, because I thought you were going to.
