Uly, how about “tender”? Doesn’t it fit in this context?

I don’t like it personally. I would use TENDER to refer to a TENDER MOMENT between a mother and her baby, but TENDER PEOPLE sounds archaic to me. I’m not crazy about GENTLE either. It sounds to me like the opposite of ABUSIVE, or like a parents who beats you, but not too hard.

Believe it or not, “loving” was my first choice, but I doubted it just because in Russian it would sound as “любящие родители”, which is quite idiomatic. That’s why I added “tender” in front of “loving”, just in case 😀

As for me, I don’t like the original “нежные родители.” It would be more natural to say “ласковые”.
«Нежный» goes better as «нежный поцелуй», «нежная кожа», etc.
