В жизни я слышал только I'll manage myself - без "by". Интересно, что Ули скажет...

(1) I CAN MANAGE means that you don't need any tool, instrument, device, instructions, etc. (2) I can manage BY MYSELF/ON MY OWN mean that you don't need help from another person, since "by myself" and "on my own" both mean ALONE.

“Should you be -ing” = do you think that’s a good idea (in order to avoid telling someone NOT to do something. Your neighbor can’t rightly tell you “Don’t cut the grass with a broken arm!”, so this is a nice way to question his decision under the circumstances.
