It can be used in the sense of и так свободна. I’m having trouble with AVAILABLE because it sounds like you’re free to go on dates or newly divorced. The original poster asked for something that means FREED UP from work or finished with a task and ready to take on another.

So you could have said just “I’m available (now)” here - the ALREADY makes it sounds strange. But FREE sounds much better because “available” sounds like romantically unencumbered.
