Lier & Liar

The verb "to lie" refers to a person or an object that reclines, rests in a horizontal position or it is located in a certain place.

A drunk person can be a "lier" on the floor.

However, there is also a second definition for the verb "to lie" and this refers to a person who makes a statement knowing that it is false. The act of doing this action makes you a "liar".

Be careful where you lie, there might be many liars and lies around. :-)
