Darya - sorry for the long WAIT
Go and learn how to make sense of dictionaries, first of all, you yeller. 'Singular' in there means that the term 'all the customers' is never ever possible with the idiom 'match for'. The word 'customer' is forbidden for collocation with the idiom, because of the semantics of the word and obligatory context for the idiom. You even doesn't sense that the idiom 'match for' is outdated, and sounds queer. Not for you, of course. For you and the like it's an edgy modern English. Modern literary English uses the verb 'match' for such meanings. And your knowledge of any kind of English grammars, it's something. You cannot put two words together. If something doesn't cohere with your inner sense of languge, you become personal every time, even without a reason, in order to disguise the gaping omission in your education. Which detetminers whatever! You even cannot explain how they function in a sentence.
This is a sentence not having a single idiom at all, you semi-literate as if maven. Pick up your mates and stop crapping up my pages by your frothy chatter.
The remark concerns the sentence, We have been more than a match for all the customers...
Sorry, I only read English.
