As far as I know a couple of beers is 2. Why the image shows 5?

a couple of anything is 2 but a couple of beers is between 4 and 6, or maybe even 8 😀

hm, a couple of beers may evolve into 4, 6 or 8 (and usually does) but the word's meaning remains the same = 2.
