Uly, I'm still confused a bit when sometimes you're using plural for details and sometimes single. In my understanding it should be mostly plural when people are asking about more details. No? What's the deal here?

The first instance is a fixed phrase, “to go into detail.” The second one is the normal use of “details” in the plural.
