Maybe хотел will work, but IF YOU’D CARED TO implies that you knew you could have done it, but decided not to for some reason.

если бы ты вообще хотел это сделать - is correct, too. But I would not say it is much more natural. It is just simpler and ubiquitous.

Again, in a real life situation, I'd prefer если бы ты хотел. Небезразлично would sound a little more dramatic, as well as literal, to me. That said, the adjective небезразличный works pretty well, as in Если я тебе небезразлична, то ты сделаешь всё, чтобы мы были вместе.

Remember, you guys can add as many versions as you want. I think you should add anything that’s correct. Now that you know what it means.

Uly, I'd already have added my translation, but I'm having a hard time interpreting the "for both" part. I like Russ' approach in general, except one thing: мог наладить is more of the whole work towards a good relationship rather than the first step. It should probably be ПОПРОБОВАТЬ наладить отношения, which possibly "breaking the ice" and definitely растопить лёд imply.
