Funny cat, you would say "my translation/interpreting work" if you were talking about the work itself - the things you've translated. But if you were talking about the actual profession, you would use "my work/job as a translator/interpretEr". For example: "My translation work has been featured in an article on how to correctly translate a maritime contract." -but- "My work/job as a translator/interpreter has taken me to three continents."
