GATHER means to collect them into one place. What is the intended meaning here?

Say you email the LL administration on a regular basis and, at some point, they need to know when a certain issue arose. So they need to see ALL your mails one by one. Since with emails this isn't a problem at all, I suspect they mean regular mail.
