How to translate? (en-ru)
Humanity has created many different inventions, like, printing press, telephone, telegraph, radio, television and other. Still, we cannot ask sombody: Who has invented the phone? - because it's grammatically incorrect. We have to use past simple tense here, because this is not a new invention.
