Titanic was a British transatlantic liner and the second of three „Olympic“ class ocean liners. It was built in 1909–1912 by the „Harland and Wolff“ shipyard Belfast and commissioned by the „White Star Line“. At the time it entered service, it was the largest ship afloat in the world.
