You say you wanna hold me
And stick to me like glue
Well, hearing is deceiving
And seeing is believing
Make me know you do
Come on now, make me know it
Well go ahead and show it
I say hearing is deceiving
Seeing is believing
Make me know you do

`Seeing is believing` = увидеть - значит поверить -> an idiom first recorded in this form in 1639 that means "only physical or concrete evidence is convincing"

А промежду прочим, на самом-то деле, вера есть осуществление ожидаемого и уверенность в невидимом (Евр. 11:1). / Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb. 11:1).
