Mirzabek, если на то пошло, то невозможно "work" над уже совершенными в прошлом ошибками по английскому пониманию этой фразы. WORK ON MY MY MISTAKES говорит тот, кто намерен не повторять эти ошибки В БУДУЩЕМ: I just had my yearly evaluation. All went well, except two or three recurring mistakes that I need to work on. (=make a conscious effort to not repeat them in the future).

Улий, перефразировать не получится, так как "работа на ошибками" это устойчивое выражение!!! It means "go over mistakes in a homework or classwork assignment and correct them"

Uly, imagine you are an elementary school student.
In your last homework you made 7 spelling errors in the word "occurrence". Your teacher told you to write it down 50 times (occurrence, occurrence, occurrence, occurrence, occurrence...), until you get it right. So, this drill is called "работа над ошибками".
Anyway, this is how things were done when I was little.

Gotcha! I don’t know that we have a special name for that. If anything, I would say “going over mistakes in class.”

In most cases it's about going over mistakes in a TEST as a class. This is an ordinary routine.

Mirzabek, если я правильно помню, работать над ошибками - это проанализировать эти ошибки и затем исправить их. Т.е. and correcting them, ИМХО
