Dear Friend, yesterday I received a package from you....
Dear Friend, yesterday I've received a package from you....
Dear Friend, yesterday I had received a package from you....

I would go with the 1st version but wanted to double-check with you.

You are correct. The first version is correct. The second version is impossible. The third version is possible, but has to preface another action.
