It sounds like someone talking to a record on the way home from the music store.

Russ Sadded a comment 4 years ago

Uly, why THE music store? Your phrase is general, we're not talking about any specific store. it could be any music store out of hundreds. Why THE?

On the way home from the [specific] music store where they just bought the record.

Also, English has a habit of using the definite article with businesses. It comes from a time when there was one of every business in any given town: one post office, one pet store, one music store, etc. So even if there are now ten music stores in your city, you still say “I need to go to the music store to get my violin restrung.”
